Description

Nick Corieri with Robert Half has a great Controller job opportunity for a growing company located in Cortland, New York. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, improving operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth. This role involves managing accounting and financial functions across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing budgets and financial reports, creating and implementing financial policies, and liaising with auditors.

• Lead financial planning and budget management functions.

• Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

• Manage cash flow planning process and ensure availability of financial resources.

• Oversee financial systems and finance personnel, providing leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.

• Analyze company financial performance and risks and prepare detailed reports on findings.

• Implement effective internal controls and risk management strategies.

• Participate in decisive company meetings and provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

• Utilize accounting software systems like ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and handle accounting functions like Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing.

• Engage in budget processes and maintain proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on advanced Excel skills.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of DCAA is required.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.

• Experience with ERP Solutions is preferred.

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions efficiently.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Auditing skills are essential.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required.
