Robert Half Billing Specialist I in Costa Mesa, California
Description We are hiring a Billing Specialist I based in Costa Mesa, California. This role involves handling claims, eligibility, and authorization inquiries. You will also be responsible for ensuring records are up-to-date and conform to compliance and regulatory guidelines. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Respond to inquiries related to claims, eligibility, and authorizations
• Work with multiple parties to ensure records are up to date and accurate
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and health plan requirements
• Document actions taken in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Assist in customer service and member services as needed
• Process patient payments and follow up with insurance companies on outstanding or unpaid claims
• Maintain databases and audit information
• Create and send statements to patients
• Ensure accuracy and report any issues for resolution. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience with database management
• Ability to conduct audits and ensure compliance with regulations
• Knowledge of medical coverage and benefit functions
• Expertise in billing and claim administration
• Typing skills required
• Familiarity with clinical trial operations and protocols
• Understanding of HIPAA-regulated authorizations
• Experience dealing with insurance companies and ensuring accuracy in medical billing
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, CPT codes, and ICD-10
• Familiarity with 401k - RRSP Administration
• Experience in handling medical and dental claims
• Proficiency in EMR - Electronic Medical Records
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in all tasks
• Familiarity with medical billing and claim administration
• Experience in working with clinical trial operations and protocols
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and authorizations.
