Robert Half DevOps Engineer in Costa Mesa, California
Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Hawaii. This role involves developing and deploying software, managing system infrastructure, and ensuring the high availability and efficiency of our services. The DevOps Engineer will work in our telecom industry setting, utilizing a variety of skills such as Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes.
Must Have: Active Security Clearance, will need to relocate to Hawaii (projects are DoD)
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement software solutions to align with business objectives
• Manage system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments
• Handle code deployments in all environments
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members on development and operations
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to design and launch new features
• Utilize open source technologies and tools to orchestrate solutions
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
• Leverage Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apex Coding, Atlassian Jira, Automation, and AWS Technologies as part of daily tasks
Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar.
• Must have a strong background in Linux and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications in DevOps or related areas would be a plus.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
