Estate planning paralegals in Orange County have an incredible opportunity to join an established firm!
Robert Half Legal is proud to partner with an Orange County firm that is an institution in the estate planning field. This firm is looking to bring in a new paralegal for its estate planning and trust administration practice. The firm focuses on estate planning and wealth management for high-net worth individuals. This is a boutique firm that has great tenure, with people who have been with the firm for over 15 years! Experience with estate planning is hugely preferential, but not absolutely required.
The firm is located in Orange County. This is an on-site position because this paralegal will be working closely with clients and the attorneys, who will be onsite.
Responsibilities of Paralegal Role:
Estate Planning:
Basic estate planning: drafting Wills, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, and related documents.
Probate Administration
Strong understanding of probate court system and experience with probate processes, procedures, and filings.
Trust Administration –
Reviewing trusts, working with clients to gather information, and organizing the information received.
Property Transfers
Prepare deeds and assessor forms.
Business Planning
Draft documents for corporate formation and ongoing maintenance, limited liability companies and limited partnerships (a plus, but not required).
Calendar management experience (using Outlook).
Able to manage a high frequency of emails, phone calls and client interaction.
Maintain accurate and complete client files, including data entry into practice management/time billing system.
They use Clio.
Strong organization and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Notarize legal documents.
Hours: 40-hour weeks!
Compensation:
Compensation - 75,000 to 90,000
Discretionary annual bonus

Paralegal certificate
Able to be onsite in Orange County
MINIMUM 3 years of law firm or corporate legal experience, ideally estate planning experience.
Licensed notary public is a plus!
