Robert Half Desktop Support Technician in Coupeville, Washington

Description

Robert Half Technology is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for an imaging project for a client in the healthcare industry. This role involves working directly with end users to ensure seamless device setup, application configuration, and proper system functionality.

Duration: 30–60-day contract (with the possibility of extension)

Location: Coupeville - Whidbey Island, Washington (100% onsite – multiple site locations)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-5pm; flexible depending on site location)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support for an imaging project, ensuring proper device setup and functionality.

  • Collect, refresh, and return devices to departments after imaging or replacement.

  • Follow a configuration sheet to correctly set up new devices, including:

  • Configuring default printers and ensuring proper functionality.

  • Migrating bookmarks and verifying application access.

  • Ensuring VPN connectivity and user access.

  • Reminding users to enable and use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

  • Assist users with password-related issues and reintegrate credentials into Chrome and Edge.

  • Maintain knowledge of required configurations and software for user devices.

  • Provide break-fix support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted IT resource for end users.

    Requirements

  • 2-6 years of IT support experience/deployment support at a mid-to-senior level.

  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

  • Expertise in Windows 10/11 environments.

  • Hands-on experience with imaging/reimaging and break-fix support.

  • Previous experience in deployment projects (Windows 11 migrations, life-cycle refresh, etc.)

  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, CCNA, Security+, etc.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with ManageEngine or similar IT management tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive end-user experience.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, problem-solving environment.
