Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Covington, Kentucky

Join a team of highly skilled, motivated professionals as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in greater Cincinnati, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

  • Provide support during internal and external audits

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

  • Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

  • Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

  • Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Complete full-cycle A/P

  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

    Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Expertise in Payable Invoices

  • Multiple Vendors experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Process Vendor Invoices

  • Enter Vendor Invoices experience

  • Deep understanding of Weekly Account Payable

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • Practical knowledge of account reconciliation

  • General familiarity with Reconcile Vendor Statements

  • Adeptness in Manage Vendor Relationships

  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
