Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to be part of our team in the Transportation/Logistics industry, based in Covington, Kentucky. As a Controller, your focus will be on handling financial data, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing financial activities, and overseeing payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and manage financial data

Month End Close

• Prepare both internal and external financial statements

• Ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable rules, laws, regulations and GAAP

• Oversee daily financial activities to maintain accuracy

• Enhance and distribute monthly financial records for management

• Develop and implement guidelines, policies, and procedures for internal control, budget accounting, cash and credit management

• Coordinate financial planning as well as budgeting and procurement activities

• Manage cash flow tracking processes

• Prepare essential data for company’s accounting review annually

• Ensure timely reporting of quarterly and annual tax returns by preparing necessary paperwork

• Maintain the company’s general ledger, chart of accounts, depreciation schedule, and CAPEX schedule

• Supervise the payroll process ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• SAGE Software is prefered

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary for efficient payroll and financial management.

• CRM skills are required for managing customer relationships and improving customer retention.

• Ability to use Crystal Reports for generating interactive and presentation-quality reports.

• Proficient in executing all major Accounting Functions including but not limited to financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) for tracking and ensuring the collection of payments.

• Auditing skills are essential for ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is crucial for planning and controlling the company's financial resources.
