Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate records and documentation for costs of materials, finished goods, labor and services, project expenses, and overhead.

• Utilize ERP systems to effectively manage and analyze data.

• Compile and present profitability reports by project, revenue stream, product line, customer, and sales channel.

• Assist with internal audit and time studies to validate routing activities and BOM accuracy.

• Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

• Perform standard cost rolls and provide analysis of inventory impact.

• Control scrap inventory process and validate disposition cost.

• Conduct analysis on PPV, revaluation, scrap, and yield variances.

• Provide explanations and recommend corrective actions to resolve cost discrepancies.

• Participate in annual physical inventories and guide periodic cycle counts.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency within the business process.

• Perform month-end closing activities including account reconciliations and posting related journal entries.

• Prepare manufacturing cost estimates for new products.

• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting

• Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus.

• Attention to detail while working on multiple tasks.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• A pitch in and do what it takes attitude.

• Ability to work with tight deadlines.

• Desire for a fast-paced, dynamic, and quickly growing work environment.

• Strong MS Office skill set, especially Excel.

Requirements - 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience

• Knowledge of organizational accounting concepts

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset

• Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

• Understanding of cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates
