Robert Half has a brand new opportunity for a Senior Accountant role in the Cranberry area. This Senior Accountant opportunity will be located on-site. As a Senior Accountant you will be involved with the month end close processes, reconciliations, general ledger, and more. They are excited to have you join their team!   • Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

  • Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

  • Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

Requirements - Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • ERP system experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

  • Earlier work involving Sage MAS 90

  • Journal entries experience highly desired

  • Wide ranging experience with Sage Accounting Software

  • Proven knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries

  • Foundational knowledge in Review Financial Statements

  • Well-founded grasp of month end closings

  • Quality experience with Microsoft Excel

  • General familiarity with year end closings

  • Strong familiarity with Monthly Financial Statements

  • Financial Statement experience required

  • Practical knowledge of payroll

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • Great attention to detail

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • BA/BS in Accounting, MBA/CPA credentials are highly desired
