Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline operations.

  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, providing financial expertise and support as needed.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
