Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, providing financial expertise and support as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
