Robert Half Accounting Coordinator in Cranston, Rhode Island
Robert Half has an exciting position available for an Accounting Coordinator for a well respected, growing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources
Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
Post financial information to journals and ledgers
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
IRS W-9 Forms experience
Bank Deposit experience
Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
Proven knowledge of cash applications
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
