Description
Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Technician for a client in the government sector. As the Accounting Technician, you will Perform technical accounting work under the general supervision of Finance Director. Will assist the front desk accounting staff, as needed, and be backup for taking the daily deposit to the bank. Reconcile capital expenditures to grant draw requests and the annual depreciation schedule. As the Accounting Technician, you will also track lease contracts for terms and conditions. This role is located in Creswell, OR and is not a remote or hybrid role.
Benefits includes: PERs retirement, medical, vision, hearing, and dental is 100% covered for employee and family, 8 hours sick time per month (2.4 weeks), 6.66hrs vacation per month (2 weeks), 11 holidays plus 1 floating holiday.

Requirements
2+ years of experience
Government or non-profit sector experience ideal, but will train for the right person
Some exposure/experience to grants, 1+ years ideal
They do a lot of capital project grants- tracking funds are an important part of this job
Leases/contracts experience a plus- they will track 75 leases. Attention to detail is important for this
Must be open to helping and covering the front desk, when needed, several people help to cover but they are a small office, and everyone pitches in
