Position Overview: As a Residential Real Estate Attorney at, you will play a crucial role in representing clients in various residential real estate transactions. Your responsibilities will include providing legal counsel, conducting due diligence, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing closings, and ensuring the smooth progression of residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in real estate law but also possesses excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding residential real estate transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and other relevant documents.
Conduct thorough due diligence on properties to identify any legal issues or potential risks.
Represent clients during closing processes, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations in the real estate field.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the state of Illinois.
1+ year of experience practicing residential real estate law.
Strong understanding of residential real estate transactions, contracts, and relevant legal principles.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
