Robert Half is working to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Culver City, California area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to full-time position.
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Help with internal and external audits as required
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Operate full-cycle A/P
Requirements - Well-founded grasp of Construction Industry Experience
Sage 100 experience
Practical knowledge of Mechanics Liens
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proven knowledge of Check Runs
Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices
Foundational knowledge in data entry
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
General familiarity with account reconciliation
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
