Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist with experience in big box retail and chargebacks to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounts receivable processes, handling chargebacks, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of our company and ensuring smooth cash flow operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
Chargeback Resolution: Investigate, document, and resolve chargeback claims in collaboration with internal departments and external customers.
Customer Communication: Maintain effective communication with customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all A/R transactions, chargebacks, and customer interactions.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on A/R status, aging, and chargeback trends to management.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve A/R processes and implement best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a strong focus on big box retail and chargebacks.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
