Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Culver City, California
Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the company's receivables process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining accurate records. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounts receivable while contributing to the financial success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts and resolve billing issues promptly.
Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of customer payments and update accounts receivable database.
Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for financial reporting as needed.
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts receivable processes.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow in the accounting field
