Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Finance Project Manager with flexibility to go on-site in West Los Angeles on a hybrid schedule for a 11+ month engagement. The Finance Project Manager must have Agile experience to support our client with the assessment and implementation of enhanced processes to comply with new reporting requirements. Responsibilities will include working closely with the Project Management team to define and achieve project finance transformation goals and objectives. You will perform various tasks, including creating and maintaining project and process documentations, along with administrative duties and Scrum ceremonies. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding/experience with accounting principles, excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Scrum Master's duties are to ensure that all project tasks are completed on time and meet high quality standards while any blockers are resolved in a timely manner. The Finance Project Master is also responsible for performing all cost control activities including cost, billing, forecasting, and estimating associated with their assigned project and resource. The Finance Project Manager provides reports and recommendations to the Product Owner and Finance Project Master on project status and potential corrective actions.
Responsibilities
• Organize the squad activities to help prepare greenlight documentation including Minto memo, project plan and forecasted budget based on understanding of process impacts and stakeholder feedback.
• Document the assessment being performed, including cataloging the impacts to processes, users and systems.
• Documenting the decisions being made (i.e., key design decisions) and ensure appropriate stakeholders are kept in the loop.
• Work with Finance, IT and other relevant teams, Transcribe and send out meeting agendas, minutes, action items and maintain/update calendar invitations.
• Facilitates scaled Agile/Scrum ceremonies i.e., Planning, Backlog Refinements, Sprint Reviews.
• Facilitates process and project execution, manages escalated impediments, manages risk, and helps drive project-level continuous improvement.
• Assist the Project PMO in maintaining share mailboxes, project calendars and in scheduling sessions based on stakeholder availability.
• Assist the Project leadership in monitoring, tracking and analyzing project costs in relation to cost budgets and contracts.
• Assist project manager with reviewing and updating monthly project cost forecasts.
• Reconcile project costs against the general ledger and prepare month end accruals.
• Maintain and organize all correspondence and project documentation.
• Liaise with stakeholders to identify and document the latest requirements as needed.
• Monitor project progress using Agile software, handle any issues that arise and to keep track of project deadlines and latest backlog for all squads.
• Assist the project team members with schedule management and stakeholder follow-ups.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with previous finance transformation projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of supervisors and employees. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must be able to see the big picture, work at a fast pace, understand project objectives and be able to apply understanding of how processes should within project framework and initiatives.
• Proven track record in Project Management with Agile and Scrum experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
• Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite, more specifically SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint
• Takes initiative, displays a strong work ethic and maintains a positive attitude.
• Entertainment Studio experience is a plus.
