Our client located in Cypress, TX is seeking an Accounting Administrator. The Accounting Administrator must have 2+ years of experience in commercial property management, handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as general administrative experience supporting property managers. The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for AP, AR, communicating with vendors and tenants, tracking certificates of insurance, and budgeting. MRI software is a MUST HAVE. This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 65K plus benefits working 100% in office.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances

  • Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

  • Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources

  • Post financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

  • Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices

  • Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

  • Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis

    Requirements - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

  • Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • Commercial Property Management experience

  • Proven knowledge of Vendor Management

  • Well-founded grasp of Vendor Management

  • Commercial Insurance experience

  • Deep understanding of MRI

  • Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required
