Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Dallas, Texas. This role is pivotal in the field of accounting, where you will be working closely with clients to prepare individual and business income tax returns, review tax returns, and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with clients to gather tax organizers and any missing information to complete tax preparation.
• Prepare individual income tax returns.
• Prepare business income tax returns, information returns, and other compliance returns.
• Review individual and business income tax returns.
• Communicate with clients across the country via telephone, Teams, etc. regarding tax matters.
• Act as an advocate on behalf of clients when communicating with IRS and other tax authorities.
• Handle any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by company management.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Drake Tax Software, Intuit ProSeries, and Lacerte Tax Software.
• Maintain updated financial records and manage expense reporting.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, including the use of advanced features like pivot tables and complex formulas. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with Drake Tax Software, Intuit ProSeries, and Lacerte Tax Software is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas
• Strong customer service skills are needed
• Must have knowledge of Deductible, Documentation, Expense Reporting, and Financial Records
• CPA, CPA Eligible, CPA Exam, and CPA Track certifications are preferred
• Experience in preparing both Federal and State tax returns is required
