The Senior Accountant handles a wide range of tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required Requirements - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
General familiarity with Journal Entry
Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)
Knowledge of account reconciliation
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Previous experience working with Full Cycle Payroll
Good understanding of bi-Monthly Payroll
Quality experience with Month-end Journal Entries
Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation
Well-founded grasp of journal entries
Wide ranging experience with Monthly Journal Entries
Practical knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation
Proven knowledge of bank reconciliations
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Able to manage time well
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ERP system experience
