Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Dallas, Texas

Description We are searching for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee our accounting department. The chosen candidate will be located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing all financial activities related to our industry-specific projects and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the accounting team and supervising all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities

• Utilizing Sage accounting software for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and streamlining accounting processes

• Overseeing acquisition accounting processes related to mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases to support company growth and expansion

• Preparing and presenting detailed financial reports, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights for strategic decision-making

• Ensuring adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies, while maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Managing accounting activities for specific industry projects, including cost tracking, project budgeting, and revenue recognition

• Collaborating with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and reporting

• Coordinating with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation, and addressing any audit findings or recommendations

• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department and implementing best practices and automation to enhance workflows and reporting accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Competence in performing various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Job Cost

• Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct

• Ability to handle Internal Financial Reporting

• Experience with Audit Compliance

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
