Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the insurance industry, located in Dallas, Texas. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, focusing on the efficient processing of carrier invoices and statements, maintaining comprehensive records, and resolving any discrepancies or issues.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process AP payments to carriers, ensuring all invoices from insurance carriers are handled promptly and correctly.

• Reconcile carrier invoices and statements effectively, ensuring payments are remitted based on these reconciliations.

• Manage the processing and release of payments, coordinating with internal teams as necessary to ensure timely execution.

• Utilize various accounting software systems and tools to maintain accurate customer credit records and manage account coding.

• Collaborate with the production team to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the reconciliation process.

• Show adaptability in learning and navigating different software systems, as the role may require handling AP for other companies.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including making necessary phone calls to carriers or internal sales staff.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting functions, including accrual accounting and auditing procedures.

• Leverage experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) to facilitate efficient payment processes.

• Utilize knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ADP - Financial Services to enhance workflow and efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is a must-have for this role

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services will be advantageous

• Expertise in Concur is essential

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is expected

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is highly valued

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles is necessary

• Previous experience in Auditing will be beneficial

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) is required
