Description
Robert half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a multi-billion organization to identify a Manager of Shared Services (Accounts Receivable) The Manager of Shared Services will be responsible for the customer shared services function, including credit establishment & monitoring, collections, cash application, customer disputes, bad debt exposures and related accounting.
Key Accountabilities
Maintains oversight of all aspects of Customer Shared Services and keeps the Finance Shared Services-Senior Manager abreast of performance, risks, and opportunities.
Develops positive, high performing and collaborative team to ensure responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently while providing support for both direct and indirect reports.
Develops and regularly monitors team key performance indicators to drive the team’s performance
Assures timely availability of credit service for the Sales and Operations teams
Renders credit decisions after thorough review of financial statements, credit applications, credit agency reports, business plans and anything else deemed necessary or required within policy.
Diligently monitors the accounts receivable aging and develops, executes, and monitors processes & procedures to meet DSI goals and minimize collection risks.
Ensures diligent collections processes, notifications, reporting, etc. are in place to minimize collection risks.
Develops and leads process for accounts receivable analytic and trend analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting
Partners cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Legal, FP& A, Tax, and IT to resolve credit and collection matters timely
Supports the month end close process
Supports all aspects of internal, external, or regulatory related audits, reviews and/or investigations
Proactively seeks areas to improve the transactional accounting function and related internal processes.
Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation and participates in Kaizen and Lean events where appropriate
Develops detailed knowledge of accounting and business operating systems
Performs other duties and participate in special projects as may be assigned

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
Certified Manager Certification (ICPM), Certified Credit Executive (CCE), Credit Business Associate (CBA) preferred
Negotiation experience and/or training preferred
Progressive experience working cross-functionally within a complex organization
10+ years accounting, credit/collections and/or finance experience
Experience in leadership roles, managing a team of 20
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills
Must be open to travel 10-15%
