How you will make an impact
Gather a number of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Encourage implementation and certify adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Aid the accounting team during the closing process to guarantee deadlines are met
Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports
Exceptional preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Stimulate accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Provide regular account reconciliation to completion
Partake in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Determine and form process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Alternative duties as requested
Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, key financial metrics, and the monthly flash report
Backfill for Controller where applicable
Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting Requirements - 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards
Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
Quality experience with Excel Formulas
Expertise in US GAAP
US GAAP experience desired
General familiarity with VLOOKUP
Proven knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Office experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Pivot Table
Deep understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
Yardi experience highly desired
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
