This Texas based law firm is an industry leading boutique litigation firm based in Dallas, Texas. Clients nationwide rely on their attorneys for litigation in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Associate to join their team in Dallas, Texas. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks associated with litigation, including preparation of pleadings, memoranda of law, written discovery, and motions. This role also involves leading case strategy meetings and directly communicating with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Handling day-to-day tasks associated with litigation

• Preparing pleadings, memoranda of law, and written discovery

• Drafting and filing motions

• Organizing and leading case strategy meetings

• Communicating directly with clients on case progress and strategy

• Handling hearings and depositions

• Utilizing legal software such as LexisNexis and Management System

• Navigating through areas of Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Defense Litigation, and Bankruptcy Filings

• Developing litigation skill set necessary to be a successful first chair trial attorney

• Actively participating in various sections of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and Dallas Bar Association, as well as other industry organizations.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Attorney or Lawyer in good standing in the State of Texas

• At least five years of complex commercial litigation experience, with a background in construction law, surety, employment law, and/or bankruptcy practice a plus

• Strong knowledge of law and litigation procedures, including the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure

• Experience in conducting legal research and preparing motions

• Proficient in conducting depositions and representing clients in court

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously

• High attention to detail and organized

• Texas State Bar license essential
