Description We're looking for a Financial Analyst with effective communication skills. This position is for someone who enjoys working as part of a team. Skilled Financial Analyst candidates will be interested in this opportunity through Robert Half to join a thriving company. This role's primary duties will consist of implementing financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Additional tasks will consist of advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. In this role, the candidate will interact with colleagues in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes

  • Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly

  • Produce and manage forecasting reports

  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution

  • Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

  • Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

  • An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks

  • Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Endorse weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings as well as P& L forecasting Requirements - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Background in financial analysis and planning

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
