Description A growing client is working with Robert Half to permanent a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Analyze reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
Institute management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Research and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings
Create recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
Oversee exit interviews and procedures
Teach employees such that they follow all policies and procedures
Head up all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
Enhance the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
Oversee human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Be present at interdepartmental meetings with other managers
Investigate compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
Catalog historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records Requirements - 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
5+ years in human resources
Ability to view issues with an objective lens
Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Deep knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
Excellent ethics, integrity, and standards
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
A familiarity with the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Organized in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
