Description

Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a prominent and rapidly growing commercial real estate firm in Dallas, TX for a Controller position. With a strong national presence this client manages a large and diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties.

As Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial management for our commercial properties. This role requires intricate accounting knowledge, high attention to detail, and effective strategic planning. The ideal candidate would have experience in commercial real estate accounting and a solid understanding of the current financial market.

Responsibilities include:

· Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition for our real estate portfolio.

· Prepare and present financial reports, both routine and ad-hoc, to the Management team and relevant stakeholders.

· Responsible for budget development and financial forecasting, including cash-flow management.

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

· Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team.

· Establish and manage financial control systems and implement improvements to increase efficiency.

Interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA/MBA preferred, a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, 3+ years of managing and leading a large team of professionals and knowledge of MRI or Yardi is highly preferred.

Requirements
