The Controller position is a permanent opportunity in the Dallas, Texas region. This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team
Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed Requirements - Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
