Robert Half Corporate Accountant / Manager in Dallas, Texas

Description Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Dallas, Texas area, at a company where effort is rewarded.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

  • Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

  • Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

  • Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in acctg required

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Foundational knowledge in Property Management

  • Property Management Accounting experience highly desired

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quickbooks Online

  • Deep understanding of real estate

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel

  • Proven knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Great attention to detail
