Robert Half Cost Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on full cycle accounting. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for processing accounting activities, reconciling balance sheets, and preparing financial statements. You will also contribute to annual and interim audits and assist with tax and regulatory preparations.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounting activities such as bank entries, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner.

• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

• Reconcile general ledger and sub ledger accounts to source data and systems to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded.

• Participate in physical inventory count and reconciliation.

• Ensure all accounting entries and authorizations are in compliance with Company Accounting Policy and US GAAP.

• Complete month-end closing activities, schedules, and reporting to meet corporate accounting and reporting requirements.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.

• Generate daily, weekly, monthly reports, aging and analysis reports.

• Assist in annual and interim audits, providing documentation and communicating with auditors.

• Assist with tax and other regulatory preparation and filings.

• Support Controller and CFO with special assignments.

• Responsible for any other task assigned by management. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred

• Minimum of five years of experience in a senior accounting role

• Proficient in full cycle accounting

• Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Team management skills

• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

• Proven ability to observe privacy and confidentiality protocols

• Strong spoken and written communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• High level of integrity and dependability.
