Robert Half Customer Service Representative (Remote) in Dallas, Texas


I am staffing for a Customer Service Representative (Remote) for my Behavioral Health client. Our client is specifically looking for candidates holding:


Handling 35-50 inbound calls from customers per day answering their questions about behavioral health services.


Answer 35-50 incoming phone calls per day from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs

Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems

Assist customers in navigating UnitedHealth Group websites while encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient in using our tools

Research complex issues across multiple databases and work with support resources to resolve customer issues and/or partner with others to resolve escalated issues

This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You will be called on to research complex issues across multiple databases. It requires fluency in computer navigation and toggling while you confidently and compassionately engage in dialogue with the caller. Be assured that our training will provide you with knowledge of the various product plans and levels of benefits available to members and you’ll soon find yourself creating positive experiences and earning the gratitude of callers on an hourly basis.



  • 1-2 years of experience in call center (preferred candidate will have 2 years or more experience)

  • Previous healthcare or medical industry experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable with multi-screen navigation

  • Must have Ethernet cord and High-Speed Internet

  • Self-starter / can work independently

  • Fast learner / Adaptable, Team player

  • Empathetic

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Escalation call handling experience

  • Supervisor experience ideal

  • Previous healthcare experience in mental health or behavioral health

  • Previous experience with processing referrals, authorizations and/or claims

  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment

  • Must be organized

  • Contract type: Contract-to-hire

  • Contract Duration (estimated & subject to change/extend): 5 months (possibility for extension or conversion to permanent)

  • Location: 100% Remote (work-from-home)
