Description Robert Half Finance has a full-time opportunity for Staff Accountant candidates who want to become a critical part of an innovative company. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To succeed in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. How you will make an impact
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
