Robert Half DevOps Engineer in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer, based in Dallas, Texas, 75235, United States. The role involves working between development and DevOps focus, with a strong foundation in networking. The successful applicant will be proficient in Microsoft Azure, PowerShell Scripting, and API management in the telecom industry.
Responsibilities:
• Handle both development and DevOps tasks, demonstrating a strong foundation in networking
• Work extensively with Cisco-oriented tasks including BGP, load-balancing, VPN setup, etc.
• Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Azure. Candidates with an AWS-heavy background will be considered only if they also have substantial exposure to Azure
• Architect containers to streamline and enhance processes
• Build pipelines to automate development and deployment processes
• Write and implement PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance system functionality. Requirements • Proven experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar capacity
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience with PowerShell Scripting
• Demonstrated skills in API management
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations for always-up, always-available services
• Ability to handle code testing and deployment
• Familiarity with open-source technologies and cloud services
• Strong grasp of automation tools
• Data management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
