Description
We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in DALLAS, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive support to a team of attorneys in a dynamic environment. The person in this role will need to have a strong understanding of both federal and Texas state e-filing, discovery management, and creating tables of authority. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in providing top-tier support to attorneys in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in federal and Texas state e-filing, discovery management, and creating tables of authority. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while supporting 4-5 attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Filing:
Prepare and manage electronic filings in both federal and Texas state courts.
Ensure compliance with court rules and filing deadlines.
Discovery Management:
Organize, track, and maintain discovery materials, including pleadings, exhibits, and other case documents.
Assist with document production and review.
Legal Document Preparation:
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including tables of authority.
Ensure all documents meet court standards and filing requirements.
Administrative Support:
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate hearings and depositions.
Handle correspondence and communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Case Management:
Support attorneys in Employment Law, Personal Injury, and corporate cases.
Assist in preparing for trials and hearings.
Conduct case-related research as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation legal assistant experience.
Expertise in e-filing in federal and Texas state courts is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in discovery processes and document management.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to create accurate and well-organized tables of authority.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Employment Law, Personal Injury, and corporate legal work (plaintiff and defense).
Attributes:
Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
