Robert Half Litigation Legal Assistant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Litigation Legal Assistant in Dallas, Texas. This role involves assisting attorneys in the legal industry, specifically in the preparation, filing, and service of legal documents. The workplace is fast-paced and requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in drafting correspondence and pleadings, ensuring their accurate preparation and filing.

• Conduct electronic filing of documents in federal and state courts while ensuring strict adherence to court rules and deadlines.

• Undertake management of calendars, which includes scheduling hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

• Serve as a liaison between attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, and clients.

• Handle both incoming and outgoing correspondence related to litigation matters.

• Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files, including discovery, pleadings, and other related documents.

• Support attorneys during trial preparation, which includes preparing exhibits, trial binders, and organizing witness materials.

• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials when necessary.

• Communicate professionally with clients to provide updates on case status and respond to inquiries.

• Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and answering phones as required.

• Utilize skills in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw, Billing Functions, Calendar Management, Claim Administration, Client Relations, Communication, and e-Filing. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a litigation legal assistant role or similar position within the legal industry

• Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Experience with Case Management Software and CompuLaw

• Demonstrated ability to handle billing functions

• Expertise in calendar management and claim administration

• Strong client relations skills and excellent communication abilities

• Prior experience with e-filing and handling legal documents electronically

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
