Robert Half PC Technician in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician in the Detail Oriented Services industry, based in Dallas, Texas. The PC Technician will primarily be responsible for the installation and setup of cables and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning.
Responsibilities:
• Executing basic installations as part of the role.
• Managing and executing the setup of tripods and cameras.
• Performing tasks related to pulling, laying, and taping down cable.
• Ensuring all devices and systems are plugged in and functioning correctly.
• Setting up and mounting TV's on stands.
• Utilizing skills in Cable Installation, Cabling, and Ethernet to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Cable Installation, with a focus on both practical application and theoretical knowledge
• Proven experience in handling various types of Cabling in a detail oriented service environment
• Strong understanding and experience with Ethernet, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with a degree in a related field
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or similar are highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients
• Ability to document work and report on repairs and installations accurately
• Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
• Availability to work on-call, during evenings, or on weekends when necessary
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations
• Demonstrable commitment to continually updating knowledge and skills in the field of PC technology
