Description This terrific company is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. Consider this role if you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role.
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Experience with ERP systems
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
