Description

Do you have an accounting background and a desire to join a Manufacturing firm? Robert Half could have the Senior Accountant role for you! Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates need to bring strong analytical skills to the role and should be capable of handling challenging, fast-paced work environments. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field and is located in Dallas, Texas. Major responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

  • Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

    Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Strong time management skills preferred

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
