In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Major responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
ERP system experience
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Microsoft Excel experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
