Robert Half Project Accountant in Dallas, Texas

In the role of Senior Accountant, you will handle the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow. You will also establish budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. High-level analytical skills are a must. What you get to do every single day

  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  • Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Must have excellent time management skills

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Strong communication and social skills

  • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Deep understanding of Sage 300

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
