Robert Half Project Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Your tasks as Senior Accountant will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Job Cost experience desired
Expertise in Purchase Orders
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
