Robert Half Property Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description We are in search of a meticulous Property Accountant to join our Real Estate & Property team based in Dallas, Texas. This role is focused on overseeing a portfolio of wholly owned office properties, reviewing general ledgers, financial statements, and sub-ledger reconciliations. You will also coordinate annual budgets and reforecasts, and provide training and guidance to new property accountants.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise Property Accountants and oversee a portfolio of wholly owned office properties, including review of all general ledgers and monthly reporting packages. • Provide accounting and financial reporting oversight for assigned external partnerships/joint ventures. • Review and approve calculations of operating expense reimbursement from tenants for assigned portfolio. • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts. • Coordinate joint venture external audits and tax returns with assistance from property accountants. • Prepare quarterly cash projections and conduct monthly review of available cash for distribution for assigned portfolio. • Review leases signed over 5,000 to 10,000 square feet for assigned properties. • Assist with prorations on acquisitions as needed. • Train new property accountants and provide coaching to all property accountants. • Conduct ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.
Skills required include proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Budget Processes, Cash Activity. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Knowledge of CapEx • Familiar with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Able to perform Accounting Functions • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge of Budget Processes • Capable of managing Cash Activity • Real Estate & Property industry experience is a plus • Must have a detail oriented demeanor and strong communication skills • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
