Located in the Dallas, Texas area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. Candidates who can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes will be preferred for this role. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Responsibilities
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
ERP system experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Knowledge of HealthCare Reimbursement
Comprehensive knowledge of health care audits of Medicare and Medicaid
Proficiency in Healthcare consulting
