Robert Half Finance is looking for a Senior Accountant with previous experience to fill an open position at a respected Holding Company. This Senior Accountant role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Candidates need to bring strong analytical skills to the role and should be capable of handling challenging, fast-paced work environments. How you will make an impact
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Requirements
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Able to manage time well
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Experience with month end closings
SEC Reporting experience
Knowledge of policies & procedures
Corporate Consolidation experience preferred
Deep understanding of policies & procedures
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Proficient in ERP systems
