Description Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Manufacturing firm. Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting are among the key responsibilities for this role. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. Located in Dallas, Texas, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field. What you get to do every day
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Must have excellent time management skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Current and relevant ERP system experience
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
