Robert Half Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller in Dallas, Texas
Description
There's currently a permanent opportunity at Robert Half for a skilled Senior Accountant to join a dynamic, innovative team in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities:
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Foundational knowledge in month end closings
Inventory experience
Knowledge of variance analysis
Strong familiarity with manufacturing
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Great attention to detail
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadline
