Robert Half has teamed up with a public company in the Dallas area to help source a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting. To be considered for this job, candidates must be a CPA and have exposure to SEC reporting (technical) in both industry and public accounting. The hiring company is open to a Senior Audit Manager who works for a Big 4 CPA firm.

My client is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to become an integral part of the Accounting team in the Corporate office. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP, SEC and stock exchange requirements and associated deadlines. The position requires current technical proficiency with US GAAP literature and SEC regulations as the position will be creating 10K’s, 10Q’s, and other possible filings from scratch.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensure company’s filings with the SEC and stock exchange are filed promptly and accurately.

  • Ensure company remains current on changing SEC requirements.

  • Analyze business results and prepare appropriate financial statements to describe those results.

  • Coordinate external audit requests and ensure that audits are conducted efficiently to minimize audit overruns.

  • Monitor company’s compliance with its debt covenants and alert management to any potential issues.

  • Handle special projects as necessary.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • at least 10 years professional accounting exp, with 10+ years at a national public accounting firm.

  • Recent and comprehensive experience handling SEC reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.

  • CPA required.

  • Master’s preferred.

  • S-1 experience a plus.

Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Solid technology and analytical abilities

  • Recent relevant financial experience

  • Customer service oriented communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • ASC 606 experience

  • CPA/MBA preferred
