In the Senior Accountant role, you will support the company's goals by preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Superior analytical skills are crucial to this position. This full-time position comes with a strong compensation and benefits package, as well as the chance of growth. This Senior Accountant role is located in Dallas, Texas within the Manufacturing field.
What you get to do every day
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Skilled with ERP systems
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Account management experience desired
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong time management skills preferred
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
