Robert Half Sr. Accountant (contract) in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the service industry. Based in Dallas, Texas, this role involves performing complex accounting tasks, including consolidation, foreign currency accounting, and US GAAP adherence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements adhering to US GAAP.

• Handle elimination entries to ensure the accuracy of revenue and expenses.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and the preparation of consolidated financial data.

• Address discrepancies due to fluctuating exchange rates through revaluations.

• Coordinate foreign currency translation and consolidation for subsidiaries.

• Utilize SAP system for recording, storing, and analyzing financial data while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to support financial and internal control audits.

• Conduct regular assessments of our internal control framework to identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Provide technical expertise and advice on accounting policy interpretations.

Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP

• Experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Comprehensive understanding and application of US GAAP

• Proven track record with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Demonstrable experience with Month End Close

• Experience with Consolidations and Foreign Currency Translation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

• CPA certification is an advantage

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
